General Best Practices

Meta rejects any ad it considers misleading, deceptive, or predatory. Keep these simple rules in mind first.

Do Don’t
✅ State the real price, features, and limitations. ❌ Hide fees, bait-and-switch, or exaggerate results.
✅ Use authentic testimonials you can prove. ❌ Use fake social proof (“As seen on Shark Tank…”).
✅ Target only people who can legally buy the product. ❌ Target minors for age-restricted items.

Hemp / CBD (Drugs & Pharmaceuticals)

Cannabis-derived products are “restricted.” Ads may run only under tight rules.

Do Don’t
✅ Promote hemp or CBD products with ≤ 0.3 % THC. ❌ Use hard keywords like “THC”, "CBD", or “cannabis.”
✅ Target 18 + U.S. audiences ❌ Target anyone under the legal age.
✅ Use lifestyle imagery and indirect wording. ❌ Show consumption (puffing, rolling, ingesting).
✅ Send traffic to a clean, compliant landing page. ❌ Link straight to a store that sells THC goods.

Health & Wellness

Weight-loss, supplements, fitness, and cosmetic need to use care when treating certain diagnosable conditions. Meta flags based on keywords.

Do Don’t
✅ Use supportive, body-positive language. ❌ Show “before/after” that implies shame.
✅ Provide helpful educational resources. ❌ Diagnose or mention medical conditions.
✅ Reference benefits in an aspirational way. ❌ Promise miraculous cures or guaranteed results.
✅ Send traffic to a clean, compliant landing page. ❌ Link straight to a store packed with medical keywords.
